SAP Service Start and Stop - Non Windows

This procedure should allow the offshore Basis team to Stop or Start SAP Service on a Non Windows server.

1. Logon to server using telnet with any id.
2. login to user using command “su - adm”
3. To start SAP Services use command “startsap –a”
4. To stop SAP Services use command “stopsap”
5. To log off from server use command _______________________________________________________________________

SAP Start – Stop steps – Windows

1. Logon to Server using ADM id
2. Double click on MMC for SAP
3. Select Instance
4. Right Click Instance
5. Start/Stop
6. Click Refresh to watch changed status of SAP Instance start/stop

SAP Start – Stop steps – Non Window

1. Logon to server using telnet
2. login to use using command “su - adm”
3. To start SAP Services use command “startsap –a”
4. To stop SAP Services use command “stopsap”
5. To log off from server use command “exit”
