he best way to recover SAP/Oracle/WYK if you had to loose your entire system in a speedy time is as follows: Reload windows and reload oracle software – 20 minutes. Install Oracle patch. Install central instance only – 15 minutes. Restore database with control file into same directory structure. Create dummy database by creating the Oracle service, i.e. Oradim -NEW -SID PRD –SRVC OracleServicePRD. Start up database i.e. startup mount and thereafter recover.
