Is this a SSO issue?

Question: We have a BW 3.5 backend system for portal. I created users in BW and portal system. The user is able to login to the portal system and then when he tries to access the BW reports, He is prompted for the password by the BW server. The system allows him to login only if he enters the initial password of BW system, but not the changed password(new) of the portal.
Did any one face this issue?

Did you try user mapping? This is one of ways for SSO.

You would do this using:
1. User Administration
2. The end users can set this in their User profiles.

Just select the BW system (that is created in EP) & set the login credentials.

This should solve ur problem.
