changes of users master in CUA environment

Question: Hi fans

I have made changes in the default tab of a user master record
of a user and then saved this master record. Then I check
the distribution is successful on all systems for that user. when I looked into the user master record for the user in all child systems the changes
I have made are not there.

I am happy to hear from any one who came cross this problem
and recommond any solution or any OSS note.

thanks

Answer:
recommond any solution or any OSS note.

I don't know of any note relating to this, but have to put in my piece that you should check a few other things too... like change docs, user types, etc etc... in your child systems.

Answer:
dpending on what you are changing, you may want to check SCUM in CUA and make sure that you don't have that part set to local vs. global. If all is well then you may have RFC issues or model problems

Answer:
please, never double-click on .

this only creates duplicate postings. I deleted the duplicates.

Answer:
Hi
Just to add I was trying to change the decimal notation
from the first one which is 1.234.567,89 to the second one
1,234,567.89. In child systems the user will still get the
first one so it appears the changes I am making to his
master record is not updating in the child system.

Answer:
as per MRistic's post.. use the transaction SCUM in CUA and check on the DEFAULT Tab to see if the Decimal is marked to be "GLOBAL" or "LOCAL".

If it is marked to be "LOCAL" then the CUA will not push it out to the child systems. LOCAL means it is not maintained by CUA so any changes done there will not push out. Versus, GLOBAL which means maintained only by CUA.

You will also see the option "PROPOSAL" which means that the initial value that is set when first creating a user in CUA will be pushed out by CUA, however, any changes after that will be maintained as if LOCAL.
