Change to Org levels

Question: Hi
We are using ERP2005 and all the roles have been configured and structural authorisations are on. At this stage we want to maintain Personnel area at Org level by using report' PFCG_ORGFIELD_CREATE'. I want to know is there any impact of changing the Org levels at this stage. Can you share your views please?

After you run this program, you will simply need to regenerate all affected roles which have Personnel area inside. Don't forget about child/derived roles if you use them, they should be regenerated too.

If you have different personnel area values for different objects in the same role then this makes it a pain to maintain

e.g

Role = Z:TEST

P_ORGIN INFTY: 0001, 0007; PERSA:100

and

P_ORGIN INFTY: 0008, 0009; PERSA:200-900

If you don't have any situations like this then it's fine, making sure you follow Raideris advice

There shouldn't be any complications. You can try to run test run before actually running this program.

It will be fine if you are not splitting the object in the roles.

Don't forget to make the changes to the org levels in all systems

You would need to make the changes in DEV and transport the roles and then run the program for Org Level creation in the QA and PRD systems. Otherwise, you might end up with roles with open org values or variable values at the field level.
