using : in auths (BW)

Question: Hi
Is anyone familiar with using a : in a field on an authorisation object in BW, specifically relating to profit center?

If so, what function does it serve?

This allows execution of queries that do not have authorisation relevant InfoObjects checked in the InfoCubes.

For each authorisation for custom reporting objects, you should inlcude a : as a field auth value becuase witout it the user will failt he auth checks on any queries on cubes that don't use toyr InfoObject(s)

It enables summary data to be reported for characteristic levels where a user does no have authorisation for detailed data
