Did anyone experience any audit comments/risk for using CATT scripts in
production.
Answer:
There are features of CATT scripting that can be exploited. The new eCatt tool helps isolate them somewhat. SAP published a security guide for eCATT. You may want to check it out.
At the end of the day SAP has better tools than CATT for production data entry. You should check out LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench). It has some of the same scripting features but it is designed specifically for putting data in the system. CATT is designed for testing.
