Installing SAP 4.6 on an external USB hard drive

I have two questions regarding an SAP 4.6 installation. Answers to the following questions would really appreciated.

1. Is it possible to install SAP 4.6 on an external USB hard drive on my home PC? If so, what's the procedure?

2. Is it compulsory to install device drivers like VGA, LAN, Sound, etc. before installing SAP 4.6?

Yes, it is possible to install SAP 4.6C on an external USB. Before starting the installation, please check whether you home PC fulfills the minimal required configuration as mentioned in the installation guide.

It is not compulsory to install device drivers like vga, lan, sound etc.
