Composite Job Roles vs Composite Profiles

Question: It is our assumption that composite job roles generally work the same way as composite profiles.

If a job role, that is part of a composite job role, is changed in DEV and transported through to PRD, the changed singular job role is recognized and usable for any user in PRD who has the composite job role.

Is the change done "automatically" or do we need to complete additional processes in PRD?

The answer to a prior post leads us to believe our assumptions may be wrong!!

Answer:
If you are using menu's made up from the menus of single roles, the composite role's menu needs regenerating otherwise you will not see the changes in the role menu in PRD.

If you are using area menu's or standard SAP menu there will be no negative effect as the underlying auths are transported (if generated), just not the new menu.
