Logon Load Balancing Monitor in CCMS

You can use this monitor to monitor the dynamic load distribution. This means that a numerical value for the quality of the dialog system (Logon Load Quality) is calculated from the number of users and the average dialog response time. The higher this number, the better the quality. If you are using logon groups, the application server with the best Logon Load Quality within the selected logon group is always used for the next logon. For information about the distribution of the logon load, see Structure linkSAP Logon.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Features

The monitor contains the following monitoring tree elements (MTEs):

MTE Name
(MTE Class)

Meaning

Users Logged On
(R3UsersLoggedIn)

Number of users logged on to one application server

Dialog Response Time
(R3DialogResponseTime)

Average processing time for the processing of one dialog step from the point of view of the application server, including the processing time of the database, but not the time for the network transfer or the front end processing time

Logon Load Quality
(R3DialogLogonLoadQuality)

Value for the quality of the dialog system (calculated from Users Logged On and Dialog Response Time, among other things); if you are using load balancing, this value determines which server is used at logon

Logon Load Status
(R3DialogLogonLoadStatus)

Status attribute with the preferred server of a logon group (the server that is to be used for the next logon, since it has the best Logon Load Quality)

For more information about monitoring the SAP dialog system, see Dialog Overview Monitor and Entire System Monitor.
