Question: Is it possible to install ides on a home pc. Are there any licencing implication?
Answer:
If you have got an User for sap service place you can download IDES in the desired version (4.6/Enterprise) for your system (AIX, NT/I386...)

The IDES System will run about one month, then a new key has to be requested. But there is a trick:
just turn your system year to 2010, then start installation
