Change and Transport System

Transfer of R/3 System components from one system to another.

The components to be transported are specified in the object list of a transport request.

Each transport consists of an export process and an import process:

• The export process reads objects from the source system and stores them in a data file at operating system level.
• The import process reads objects from the data file and writes them to the database of the target system.

The system maintains a transport log of all actions during export and import.

Configure transport domain

Configure transport domain

1. You first have to decide which of your R/3 Systems as the Transport Domain Controller.

2. Then log on to client 000 of this system and start this activity The dialog box Configure transport domain appears.
If you have already configured the transport domain, the TMS initial screen appears instead of this dialog box.

3. Then log on to client 000 in the other systems and repeat this activity. You can now include these systems in the domain you have defined.
