BRRESTORE for Restoring the Archived Offline Redo Log Files
- Distributed Scenario: BRRESTORE must be started on every ORACLE instance in order to restore the corresponding archived redo log files into the local archiving directory. If required, the restored redo log files can be copied onto the DDB instance using operating system resources or be made available via several NFS-mounts. (This is necessary, for example, if a SQLDBA recovery session is to be started, which is normally done on the DDB instance). See also "Further Remarks " in Distributed Scenario.
- Central and Mixed Scenario: The required archived redo log files of all ORACLE instances can be restored with one BRRESTORE call. To do this, the syntax of BRRESTORE was extended with the options -a|-a1|-a2 to specify the instance ID
